    PhDr. Petr Kučera, PhD vyučuje osmanskou a tureckou literaturu, turecký jazyk a moderní dějiny Turecka. Pobýval na dlouhodobých stážích na Freie Universität v Berlíně (2001–2002), Ankarské univerzitě (2003–2004), Bosporské univerzitě (2005–2006) a Princeton University (2006–2007). Působil také jako badatel na School of Oriental and African Studies při University of London (2010–2011) a na Ludwig-Maximillians-Universität v Mnichově (2014). Od roku 2016 pobývá dlouhodobě v SRN jako juniorský profesor turkologie na Hamburské univerzitě. Z turečtiny přeložil 9 románů Orhana Pamuk a napsal Podrobnou gramatiku turečtiny (2014).

    Akademický pracovník je v současnosti na stáži v SRN.
